Episode review: Trade Ya!

Fun episode.
After a brief absence, ponies are back. The previous episode was entertaining, but further reflection has shown it to be somewhat flawed. This week, we get a filler episode, but an enjoyable filler episode, which makes up for it.

Let's get one thing out of the way first. This episode serves no real purpose. Still, at the very least it wasn't a retread. Nothing here felt stale, and there was a fair amount to enjoy. Character interactions were entertaining, and while the story itself was lightweight, it was serviceable and consistently enjoyable.

Characterization was well-done, as each character was shown at their best. While the various main characters are shown getting caught up in the heat of the event, they rather quickly let their better nature surface, which is rather enjoyable to watch. There is a reason we like these ponies so much, after all, and it's because of these better natures.

The visuals of this episode are nice. Facial expressions are particularly adorable, and the various trinkets littered about are well-designed.

Not much to say about this episode. Just a rather fun episode with not much to it. Can't wait for next week's.
